Talmadge "T" Nunnari - General Manager

Talmadge Nunnari, otherwise known as “T”, is a well recognized figure at Pelican Park. 2010 is his ninth season with the Pelicans. Since 2006, T has led front office operations as General Manager. This season, he continues his role as Field Manager in addition to his other duties.

In 2002, his first year with the Pelicans, Nunnari helped the team to their first ever league championship. He moved to a sales position in the front office in 2003 and split time on the field as a hitting coach for manager Bernie Carbo. In the middle of the 2006 season, Nunnari made the transition to General Manager. Under his leadership, the organization has set franchise attendance and sales records every year.

”I enjoyed watching the success of the 2009 club and look forward to building another competitive club for the 2010 season,” said Nunnari.
Nunnari has 12 years of professional baseball under his belt including playing, coaching, sales, and administration. From Jacksonville University where he was an All-American to Major League baseball with the Montreal Expos, Nunnari lives and breathes baseball. The “Golden Lefty”, as they called him in the Venezuelan Winter League, was a member of the 2002 Pelicans championship team.

The Montreal Expos selected Nunnari in the ninth round in the 1997 MLB draft. He made his major league debut in 2000, playing in 18 games. The Pensacola native and 1993 Washington High School graduate played at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (AL) and Jacksonville University (FL). In 1997, he was named an All-American and awarded the Division 1-A Sunbelt Conference Player of the Year.

A natural teacher, T has traveled the country working for The Baseball Factory, a player development and college placement baseball academy. When he is not playing, managing, or coaching baseball, Nunnari enjoys competing in 15K runs, triathlons, and marathons. T lives in Pensacola with his wife Meredith and puppy Gibson.
