Paul Chestnutt is a sports fanatic and a seasoned veteran in the industry. He is entering his 25th year in sports and 5th with the Pelicans. Chestnutt is a sales executive focusing on corporate sales and also assists with the radio broadcast and media relations. He helps with broadcasting on all home games at Pelican Park. Prior to joining the Pelicans, he was the “Voice of the Pensacola Ice Pilots”, a minor-league hockey team, for ten seasons. Over his career, Chestnutt has worked in radio and media relations for six teams, including the Pelicans, in baseball, hockey, football, and basketball. He co-hosts a sports radio show on News Radio 1620 every Saturday morning at 10:00a.m., and also broadcasts local high school football games and other events. Outside of baseball, Paul spends as much time as he can with his seven-year old son, Matthew, AKA Matty and wife Brenda. Once a week, they spend time riding horses at the Leaning Post Ranch. Paul recently started his own charity organization called Matthew Chestnutt Scores! Charities, named after his son. The organization’s mission is to help special needs kids and adults in the northwest Florida area.
